Mission Valley is a wide east-west valley located by the San Diego River. An important shopping and entertainment center for San Diego, Mission Valley also features newly-built condominiums and apartments. Bounded by I-5 and I-15 and divided in half by CA-163, Mission Valley is a vast area that also serves as a path for I-8 and I-805. Mission Valley began as farmland but now is known as a hub of transportation, commerce, sporting events, shopping, and more.
